The Jitney Wildwood Island Shuttle Service is set to resume for the summer season, beginning Memorial Day weekend and running through the middle of September. Initially, the shuttle will operate on weekends only until June 23rd, before expanding to a daily schedule from June 24th to September 1st. The shuttle service will then revert to weekend-only operation until September 15.
This service, supported by the Greater Wildwoods Tourism Authority and the municipalities of Wildwood Crest, Wildwood, and North Wildwood, offers a convenient transportation option for visitors. The Jitneys, easily identifiable by the Wildwoods logo, can be boarded anywhere along the route from Diamond Beach to North Wildwood for $3 per ride, with free rides for children under four. The shuttles are ADA compliant and equipped with motorized lifts for wheelchairs. Visitors can pre-pay using the Jitney Surfer App or pay with exact cash. The app also provides real-time shuttle locations and route maps.
